Netflix has unveiled and announced the release date of the animated TV series of Dragon’s Dogma. The series will debut on the streaming service around the world, 17 September.

The series is produced by the animation studio CG Sublimation, which has worked on Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 and 2202, on various productions of Ghost in the Shell, on the movie Evangelion 3.0, and more.

It will be directed by Shinya Sugai with Daiki Sakurai Netflix as executive producer.

The producers of Dragon’s Dogma, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, and Takashi Kitahara, they will work to the souls as co-producers.

Iku Nishimura Ghost in the Shell: Arise will work on the design of the characters.

The series was talked about at the beginning of this year, but the first asset and the details have been published only now.

Here’s a brief synopsis directly from Netflix.

“Ethan is determined to destroy the Dragon that has ruined forever the lives, but the more demons he faces and the more it loses its humanity.”


If you are not familiar with the Dogma of the Dragon, game of Capcom was originally launched in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360. An expansion called Dark Arisen, then, was published in 2013 for the same platforms and then transferred to PC, PS4, Xbox One and even Nintendo Switch.
