Initially, the horror should have been released on both generations of systems, but eventually on PS4 and Xbox One started to have problems with the appearance of objects out of thin air and long downloads textures.
In addition to this, the eighth part focuses on the village — apparently, this will be one big location. However, on current-gen consoles, the level would have had to change to several small locations, between which there were the loading screen is interfered with the rhythm.
Eventually on PS4 and Xbox One had too many technical problems that put into question the artistic vision of the game, because of what the project has become a flagship next-generation consoles.
The release of Resident Evil 8: Village is expected in 2021 at PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
