We do not intend to issue any DLC or expansions for Resident Evil 3 Remake, at least according to what declared by the producer Peter Fabiano, recently interviewed by Siliconera.
Responding to a question about support post launch, Fabiano said that “Resident Evil 3 is a completed project,” and that “the game is complete and finished as well as arrived in stores”, a declaration which does not seem, therefore, to leave space to doubts about the eventual publication of DLC in the future, hypothesis is excluded categorically from the manufacturer of the house of Osaka.
A type of approach rather especially for Capcom, who in recent years has supported all of his projects with additional content of various types, free updates, events and expansions, as in the case for example of the Monster Hunter World or Resident Evil 7 Biohazard.
Resident Evil 3 Remake was released last April, enjoying success and selling over two million copies worldwide, Capcom seems to now be engaged on the future of the franchise, and according to rumor the company might announce was very involved in Resident Evil 8. Also Resident Evil 4 Remake seems to be in development together with a third mysterious project related to the horror series for excellence, which has now exceeded the roof of the 100 million copies sold in the world.
