We all know that Fortnite is a colossal mill-money, capable of generating billions of revenue, but sometimes it’s good to put some figures in perspective, to be able to fully understand the popularity of a product.
The website MusicMagpie has recently drawn up the ranking of the most profitable games of 2019, sorting them according to the earnings generated per minute. Of course, Fortnite Battle Royale has gained the first position without much difficulty, but how much you figure the minute? Well, it seems that last year, Epic Games managed to earn the beauty of more than 3000 euro every 60 seconds. This means that in the time spent to read this same news, the company has earned as much as the annual salary of an employee base.
The total amount is also dictated by the two other data, the Game Revenue, and l’In-Game Spending: the first is simply the sales of the game (which is why, in the case of the free-to-play Fortnite, the data is not equal to 0), while the second are revenues from the microtransactions.
Immediately below Fortnite, we have other popular games, such as Dungeon Fighter Online, League of Legends , and Crossfire, which have managed to raise well over 2,000 euro per minute during the last year.
Surprisingly, despite the fate ungrateful, also the Anthem is present in the ranking, immediately after the above-mentioned free-to-play, with 2,100 euros earned every minute of it.
