Last Sunday, Shad Gaspard, former wrestler of the WWE and a member of the tag team Cryme Tyme, was located off the beach of Marina Del Ray, where he was swimming with his 10 year old son.
A current is incredibly strong, made even more dangerous by some devastating waves, she was dragging both the drift and the risk was at the highest levels. The rescuers of the Coast Guard had intervened quickly, but, because of adverse conditions, could immediately save one of them. Shad did not think twice, and he directed rescue operations to the son.
Unfortunately, after you rescued the guy, a powerful wave had hit the wrestler, causing him to disappear. Three days later, last Wednesday, his body was found on the beach, certifying the death, at the age of 39.
The destiny, if we may say so, it is truly ironic that Shad Gaspard was not only known for being a wrestler, an actor and a bodyguard for celebrities such as Britney Spears and Mike Tyson, but he was also the person who “lent” his body to the motion capture of Kratos in God of War.
A father who sacrifices himself to save his son is not a story so similar to that of Kratos and Atreus: the epilogue was unfortunately tragic, but it will be remembered as a hero for having put the life of others before their own.
