Media reported that the series “Lucifer”, who moved from Fox to Netflix, can get another season.
The project, based on the comic book DC, began to emerge in 2016 and lasted on Fox for three seasons, after which the channel took the decision to close. In this moment the stage broke Netflix picked up the series and extend it for another two seasons.
The fifth season will be released on Netflix in two parts, was to be the end of the story. But it is possible that the project will be able to live a little longer. Representatives of the service began negotiations with Warner Bros. TV — their successful result can be a potential extension of the series.
One of the reasons for this decision probably was the popularity that the show maintains not only among their fans but also obviously on the Netflix.
The plot of the series tells about the everyday life of the Devil, who decided to resign as guardian of Hell and moved to permanent residence in Los Angeles. There he began to assist in the investigation of various crimes, in parallel to sorting out the problems of his supernatural family.
By the way, in the comics the character appeared in the series “the Sandman” by Neil Gaiman, an adaptation of which including deals with Netflix. Her show-run stands Allan Heinberg (“Wonder woman”, “Trap”, “grey’s Anatomy”).
The exact release date of the two parts of the fifth season of “Lucifer” yet, but each half will consist of eight episodes.
