Cyberpunk 2077 has been recently postponed by CD Projekt RED to ensure the players have a game finished in every part.
This means that we will still have to wait about seven months before the release of Cyberpunk 2077. In an interview with OnMSFT, John Mamais of CD Projekt RED, has revealed some news on the game. For example, while it has not been able to provide an exact estimate on the total duration of the gameplay, has confirmed that players will find about 75 “Street Stories,” a Night City.
“We don’t have a simulator to calculate the duration. In The Witcher 3, we have inserted the elements in the open world very late in the development process, when we had only two or three people that worked there or something. There are now 15 people focused on this quest”.
“There will be the STS, which are the Street Stories. I think there are about 75 quests of this type. Then there are also minor activities”.
“The Street Stories are as small missions. There is a story but there are so many sequences of cinematic storytelling. They are a way to explore the world and to level up your character”.
In the interview, Mamais has also pointed out two specifications that make you stand out Cyberpunk 2077 from the crowd. The first is global illumination in real-time, which according to the developer has not yet been properly shown. She also praised the sound, and has recommended to have a system that is Dolby Atmos, if possible, to get a full immersion in the atmosphere of Cyberpunk.
“There are some things that are not talked about, like the way in which the world will be illuminated. Our director continues to speak of the system of global illumination in real time that we have not yet seen in its full beauty. No one has seen how it will be. But I assure you that it will be breathtaking most of what we have seen so far.”
“Also, the sound. The audio system is created by one of our programmers sound will be very realistic because of the way in which they use geometry. Creates this reverb effect so that the sound can change to vary in space. If I had the chance, I would buy a Dolby Atmos to listen to this game. It will be very engaging and profound.”
Cyberpunk 2077 on the PC will also have the effects of raytracing and optional lighting which may be available also in the versions of the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
