On September 9, 1999, the SEGA Dreamcast ‘s landing in the United States, registering one of the best launches ever for a console in North America, and in anticipation of approximately twelve months the launch of the much anticipated PlayStation 2. 20 years have passed and SEGA intends to celebrate this anniversary with a special live stream.

This evening at 19:00 (Italian time), SEGA will broadcast a show dedicated to 20 years since the launch of the Dreamcast in the United States, unfortunately the contents are not known but we can assume that during the broadcast we’ll look at some of the games that have made the history of the console, from Sonic Adventure, Power Stone, passing through Crazy Taxi, SoulCalibur, Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Resident Evil Code Veronica and many others.

The Dreamcast has concluded its run at the beginning of 2001, when SEGA announced the withdrawal from the hardware market to become exclusively a publisher. The console has sold around the world, about ten million pieces, most of them in the US, where it has been the platform’s most successful Christmas 2000, managing to overcome both the PlayStation that Nintendo 64.

Times far but nevertheless it is well engraved in the hearts of fans, this evening will celebrate the legend of the Dreamcast.
