In a new interview published by GamesIndustry, Phil Spencer has said he’d like to join the ranks of the first team party of Microsoft is also a study of the development of the japanese.

After the confirmation of the acquisition of Double Fine Studios, which took place during the conference at the E3 2019, the leader of the Xbox , then, seems to want to look to Japan for future investments. The aim was clearly to add something different to the catalogue of its titles to future output. The network is rumored as a possible approach of Microsoft towards Platinum Games, but obviously for the moment there have been no confirmations in this sense.

“I think that it would be nice if we could find a asian reality, in particular, a japanese team, to add to our studies,” said Spencer. “I liked it when we had some of the skills first party in Japan. We have a small team there, but I think that we can do more. That said, through our travels in japan we were able to bring Phantasy Star to the stage with a SAW, and I thought it was great. We also had Miyazaki-san, before with Dark Souls and now with Elden Ring. The creators of japan are always more”.

What do you think? I like the idea that Microsoft may gain a japanese study stated? Please let us know in the comments below!
